Who are we?
Digital Jukebox is a brand of Music4Fun BV, Tereikenstraat 3, 8700 Kanegem, Belgium (VAT BE 0508.887.734). Music4Fun BV is responsible for processing your personal data through this website. Questions or requests about your data? Email info@digitalejukebox.be or write to the address above.
This policy covers the website digitalejukebox.be: the contact form, the song request form and your visit to the site. It does not cover the use of the jukeboxes themselves.
What data, why and for how long
We only process the data you enter yourself, and what is needed to keep the site working and secure.

For other questions: our legitimate interest in answering them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). | Up to 2 years after receipt. If you become a customer, for as long as we work together. |
| Handling a song request | The café or jukebox you request it for, title and artist, and your email address if you enter it, so we can let you know when the song is available | Our legitimate interest in handling requests for our jukeboxes, and yours in getting your song on them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | 1 year after receipt |
| Promotions and events by email | Your email address | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): the checkbox on Request a song, which you can withdraw at any time. Belgian economic law also requires prior consent for advertising by email. | Until you withdraw your consent, and at most 1 year after your last request with that box ticked |
| Protecting the site against abuse and spam | IP address and technical data about your browser | Our legitimate interest: a secure site and spam-free forms (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | We do not store your IP address with your request. It is kept in the server logs for at most 14 days. |
| Measuring how the site is used | Usage data via Google Analytics (see our cookie policy) | Your consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) | See the cookie policy |
You are not obliged to give us any data. Without a name and email address, however, we cannot answer your question through the form; you can always email info@digitalejukebox.be instead.
Who receives your data?
Your data is only visible to the Digital Jukebox staff who handle your question or request. We do not sell it or pass it on to others for their own purposes.
To run the site, we use a few service providers. They only process data on our behalf:
- Amazon Web Services (servers and email): Runs the website and the database (in London) and sends our emails (from Ireland). AWS privacy notice
- Apple (song request suggestions): When you type an artist or title in the request form, your browser fetches suggestions from Apple’s iTunes search service. For this, Apple receives what you type and your IP address, without cookies. Apple privacy policy
- Cloudflare (bot check): Turnstile checks that a form is sent by a person. For this, Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical data about your browser. Cloudflare privacy policy
- Google (statistics and fonts): Google Analytics, only with your consent, and Google Fonts for the typefaces. Google privacy policy
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, for example in the United Kingdom or the United States. This only happens with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.
Security
The forms are sent encrypted (HTTPS) to our server, which passes them on only through a protected internal connection. Only staff with their own account can view the requests.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and get a copy;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- have processing restricted or object to it;
- receive your data in a common format to pass it on to someone else;
- withdraw any consent you gave at any time. What we did before then remains valid.
To do so, email info@digitalejukebox.be. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity, so that we do not give your data to someone else.
Making a complaint
If you disagree with how we handle your data, please let us know first. You can also file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
